This historic hotel and casino, the Sands Hotel, was located on the Las Vegas strip.  It was very unique with its “floating” crap table in the swimming pool.  How many swimming pools do you see with crap floating in it?  It first opened its doors in 1952 and remained open until 1996, when it was finally demolished.  In the mid-1960s, Howard Hughes bought it and modernized it and built a 500 room tower.  A lot of notable entertainers used to entertain there like Jerry Lewis, the Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Red Skelton and Dean Martin.
