In this picture, Frank Zappa is enjoying some family time with his parents in this deep purple living room.  Somebody definitely loved the color purple.  As a musician, Frank Zappa played a variety of classical, jazz, pop, and rock music.  Unlike most rock stars, he was against using drugs after a few times of using marijuana.  He was a big advocate of freedom of speech and he expressed some of his views in his music.  Some of his recordings with his group “Mothers of Invention” include: Who are the Brain Police?; Valley Girl; Stairway to Heaven; I Don’t Wanna Get Drafted.
