It wasn’t just the cowboys that kept the Wild West running; they were also joined by plenty of leading women. Rose Dunn is one of those that found herself caught up in the world of bandits and robbery. She later became known as Rose of Cimarron and earned her place in the history books thanks to her romance.
Rose was introduced to Geroge “Bittercreek” Newcomb after her brothers presented her to the Wild West bandit. In 1985, Bittercreek lost his life after Rose’s brothers turned to a new life of bounty hunters and saw some easy money. Rose eventually moved on as she met and fell for a politician. The pair eventually tied the knot and left the west behind them.
