The Coso Artifact was discovered in the mountains of California near Olancha. It was believed to be a geode rock formation. After cutting it open a porcelain object was found inside. In the center was a shaft made of shiny material. Experts estimated that, if this was a geode, it should have taken about 500,000 years for this fossil-encrusted nodule to form, yet the object inside was obviously of sophisticated human manufacture. Further investigation has identified the artifact as a 1920s-era Champion spark plug. How could a 1920s spark plug get inside of a 500,000 year-old rock?
